The brand world of Jacobs Krönung is a typographic challenge, because it makes special demands on its realization. Light impressions perform a three dimensional effect on to the yellow band with the name Jacobs. That applies accordingly to the lightning effect of the cups and glasses, which show authentic varieties of coffee. The picture is rounded out by the typical green in different shades and the lightening yellow crown trademark. For the presentation of goods in the second placement the display assortment is equipped with different product images on the stands for ¼-Chep pallets as well as floor displays. The latter fulfils also the task of the transport packaging, which will be assembled in the store.
The stand assortment has been produced by THIMM Display in offset sheet-fed printing as well as by THIMM Print in ThimmColor®-Flexo preprint. The special challenge: the harmonization of the print results in order to assure that the consumer notices a constant brand image. That means an operational process in flexo-preprint of 7 colour-printing plus varnish in a screen ruling of 122 lines per inch. The agency database prepared in four colours had to be adapted accordingly. The layout had been chosen that clever that background and product-illustrations have been applied separately. So each image could have been controlled individually during the printing process. Consequently, minimal tolerances could have been adjusted immediately according to the master. A significant advantage is the utilization of the so called flexo-belt-system at THIMM. It is able to print maximum formats of 2.50 meters x 4.55 meters. Due
to this flexibility it is possible to produce a complete Display stand in one piece. This saves time and money.
The digital print completes the printing technologies at THIMM, which offers many new possibilities for differentiation with the product presentation at the point of sale. The diversity in materials that can be used is great and thus offers more possibilities for individuality and the usage of displays. Whether it is fabric, forex, acrylic, wood, or even rock and many other materials – the usage is not just limited to indoor usage. Creativity has virtually no limits.
