The four-wall power pack RhinoPlate® made by THIMM is a heavy corrugated cardboard, which can lift weights up to 5,7 tons – even through tropical climatic conditions. For this reason it is the perfect packaging material for large capacity cases for the national transportation of goods but also for overseas traffic. The material scores with a considerably lower weight up to 60 percent in comparison with conventional wood cases. This saves costs. Furthermore, there are no global import restrictions with regard to corrugated cardboard packaging. Thus evidently simplifies customs handling. Last but not least the mono-material, made of renewable raw materials, can easily be recycled.

RhinoPlate® cases are certified according to the standard category four of the Institut für Beratung, Forschung, Systemplanung, Verpackungsentwicklung und –prüfung (Institute for Consulting, Research, System planning, Packaging Design and Packaging Tests, BFSV). Consequently the cases achieve highest security requirements to the carriage of goods. Due to the integrated corrugation the material is ideal to absorb shocks. According to the level of assembling the corrugated cardboard cases just need low storage capacities, can be printed economically and are even reusable several times. Waterproofed paste application or barriers can provide for permanent stability in example while moisture is emerging in overseas containers. Typical customer branches are the metal processing industry as well as engineering-, automotive and supplying industry, but also the solar- and chemical industry as well as forwarding agents. The latter need heavy duty cases or use the packaging in storage systems.

A speciality in the technical processing is the longitudinal off-set. It allows a jointless access of two packaging components. Due to this off-set the components are spliced together seamless to a four-wall flat plane. Additional interlocking systems like bars, clips, bayonet- or swivel locks complete the assortment. Via these locks the cases can be opened and closed several times without destroying the packaging. This is another advantage during customs handling. The locks can be used without toolbar and guarantee easy handling without any risk of injury.
