THIMM EasyFix is a new packaging solution within the range of products of THIMM SCHERTLER Verpackungssysteme. Generally, EasyFix consists of both, a tuck folder and an insert made of corrugated cardboard with a laminated membrane. The latter is attached to two opposite wings of the cross-shaped insert. The membrane is not fixed in the centre part so that the products can easily be placed below it. While turning down the wings, the membrane is tensioned and the product becomes fastened.

Ideally, this type of packing is used to protect articles that provide a broad model range. Items in various types and sizes can be packed by using the same type of packaging this way. This reduces the diversity of packaging to a minimum and saves unnecessary insert material. At the same time, this solution offers the highest possible transport protection for many types of products in various shapes.

With regard to the production process, the packaging can be handled easily. Furthermore, it requires only very little storage space – a clear cost benefit. Thanks to the very low percentage of membrane, the packaging is considered as single-material solution made of corrugated cardboard which can be fed into the raw materials cycle by disposing it of as waste paper.

Typically, THIMM EasyFix is used to pack electronic goods and products such as computer equipment, bone china, pottery or medical instruments. Apart from this, the lamp industry or industrial sectors such as the mail order business or the measuring and control technology business are among the customers.

THIMM EasyFix will be exhibited at the FachPack 2010 trade fair in hall 7A, at the booths of THIMM SCHERTLER Verpackungssysteme no. 242 + 342.
