THIMM Consulting has executed an independent potential analysis in the snack range successfully. Within five months a benchmark between the plants took place in Germany, Austria, Hungary and England as well as the identification of the optimization potentials.

In the first step all packing-relevant processes as well as the packaging management were analyzed. Suitable achievement characteristic numbers were defined, after their meaning weighted and for the individual locations evaluated. In connection the plants could be placed among themselves to the identification of the strengths and the weaknesses and/or the best practice solutions.

The successful identification of optimization potentials regarding material usage (foils, cardboard and so on), storage utilization, transport costs and quantity bundling for the improvement of the purchase prices proved a possible saving sum in the high 6-figure area for the customer.
