01. 06. 2010: Cost and commercial optimized packaging assortment - results from an optimization project with Kuchenmeister

To the third time GS1 Germany and the EHI Retail Institute invites to 15th and 16th of June 2010 to the Packaging Yearly Congress. In the Cologne Radisson Blu hotel discuss packaging experts from trade and consumer goods industry current requirements and innovative packaging solutions - from strategies to the efficiency increase up to packaging design corresponding to real market conditions and pollution free.

 

On the second meeting day (16th of June 2010) around 11:45 a.m. Michael Bodemer (manager, THIMM Consulting GmbH + Co. KG) and Hans Günter Trockels (managing director, Kuchenmeister GmbH) report over their experiences of a holistic, location-spreading optimization of the packaging assortment at the company Kuchenmeister.

Objective of the conception and (new-)development of the entire packaging assortment was the adjustment on the needs of the entire supply chain - from the packaging purchase to the trade. Emphasis of the conversion was among other things the material efficiency, standardization and modularity of display and shelf ready packaging and the appropriate automation concepts.
