At the special exhibit “Sustainable Production and Packaging” (hall 4, booth 229) during the FachPack 2010, THIMM Consulting will focus especially on the topics of material efficiency, disposition optimization, and process optimization. “In order to achieve a sustainable effect in packaging relevant areas, the entire packaging management process has to be considered and not just single factors, such as construction and material,” says Michael Bodemer, Director at THIMM Consulting. Thanks to a so called “climate calculator” for packing materials, the experts are also able to show the emission of carbon dioxide CO₂ of a packaging system in a comprehensible way.

As an authorised consultant of the DEMEA (Deutsche Materialeffizienzagentur – German Agency for Material Efficiency), THIMM Consulting will provide interested visitors with information on current funding opportunities during the special exhibit. The DEMEA was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie - BMWi) to inform companies of the significance of material efficiency and to help them localize and realize savings potentials that would lead to increased profitability and competitiveness.

In addition to this focus, THIMM Consulting, as an independent consulting firm within the THIMM Group, will present its entire consulting repertoire in hall 7A, booth 242 and 342. The core services here are potentials analyses for packaging (process) optimization and assortment optimization. Especially relevant are the reduction of packaging variety, packaging development and design for new products, market and benchmark analyses as well as automatization concepts in the packaging sector.
